The Basic Wound Care Course (BWCC), offered in Spring and Fall, is directed at wound care providers of all backgrounds (MD, RN, DPM, PA, OT, allied health) who desire a well-rounded overview of the major components of a comprehensive wound treatment plan. Join us for didactics and hands-on product demonstrations with faculty representing the top wound care providers in the region. This course is a basic orientation to wound care. Meals and 7.5* hours of CME / CNE are included. No certification is provided. Cost: $210 ($160 early registration before October 13, 2017), $60 for students (info@columbiawound.org). *Subject to topics presented.

*0.50 – Wound assessments
*0.50 – Peripheral arterial disease
*1.00 – Wound dressings
*1.00 – Product demonstrations (by volunteer education committee members)
*0.50 – Pressure ulcers
*0.50 – Chronic venous insufficiency
*0.50 – Maintaining wound closure
*0.50 – Antibiotic selection in wound care
*1.00 – The diabetic foot ulcer and offloading
*0.50 – Wound debridement
*0.50 – Case presentations
